Highlight of the day was the mayor's lunch. It was good to get the chance to catch up with Brian Smith, who is having a busy but enjoyable year as Mayor of Southend.
After the meal, a chat with Graham Longley about the campaign. Then in the evening a chat with Nina Stimson. Very useful, both of them.
Apart from all that, lots of time on the computer, and a brisk walk around Chalkwell.
