Thursday 18 March: On doorstep in Leigh all morning. Afternoon off!
Friday 19 March: Mostly dealing with some urgent press enquiries. It would be good to have some paid staff sometimes!
Saturday 20 March: visit the farmers' market in Leigh, then move on to a Leigh coffee morning. Members are very busy indeed! In the afternoon, out talking to supporters in West Leigh.
Sunday 21 March: Out in Eastwood.
Monday 22 March: morning, visit to a local school in Leigh. Afternoon, visiting some people who had been in touch with me from Belfairs ward.
Tuesday 23 March: In the morning, delivering with the Belfairs team.In the afternoon, out in Eastwood. Very good response.
Wednesday 24 March: spent the day talking to residents in St Laurence. Really good response. Good to call back on some people I had spoken to earlier in the year, and also to put a face to the names of people who had been in touch by mail or 'phone.
Thursday 25 March: in the morning, out in Leigh, talking to residents. In the afternoon, out in St Laurence. Another good session here - a big team, and part of the time spent going back to areas I had surveyed last year. Downside was a rain shower that kept us in for the first hour of the session.
Evening, out to Pecha Kucha, for the first half of the show, then moved on to the Liberal Democrat President's Supper. Good event.
Friday 26 March: Canvassing in Blenheim ward. Another strong team. Interesting to put houses to faces on a couple of occasions.
Saturday 27 March: the Leigh coffee morning was in Belfairs (don't ask) But canvassing beforehand was in Leigh. Out again in the afternoon for an exciting session of canvassing. And then out in the evening for a very successful Eastwood/St Laurence quiz night.
Sunday 28 March: out in the afternoon with a great team in Eastwood. met some great people!
Monday 29 March: Not a great morning (stuck inside). But the "Ask the Chancellors" debate was great. Big win for Vince.
