The luxury this morning was a meet up just along the road from my flat. Of course, this meant I was nearly late, but in fact the team all materialised in the right place and at the time. A lot of residents were out unfortunately, but I had some long and interesting conversations - I even went inside on one occasion (not often that I do that!)
We took a break towards the end of the morning, and went down to Leigh Marshes to take a look at the works to tidy up the parking situation down there.
In the afternoon we were out again, this time talking to residents in Belfairs. This went very well indeed - and it was good too to call in on some of our veteran supporters in the area. A lot of discussion on politics assumes that no one takes very much notice. But I found some very perceptive comments on
It was chilly though - I felt guilty if conversations on the doorstep went on for too long!
All in all a very good day - with three new volunteers for our campaign.
